OHIO INSPECTOR GENERAL LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION
The Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Testing has found evidence of alleged cheating on the annual testing for breath testing operators by permit holders at the Canton, Ohio, State Highway Patrol Post and the Montgomery, Ohio, Police Department. The Ohio Department of Health is assisting with the Inspector General’s investigation. A new test has been put in place by the Ohio Department of Health, and testing at the two locations in question has been suspended until the investigation is completed. At this time, there is no evidence that links the allegations of cheating at the two test sites. The Inspector General’s Office and the Ohio Department of Health will review any other allegations of impropriety should they come to our attention.
